This past Wednesday was DJ IV’s Dirty 30th birthday bash. The party took place at The Seahorse. A bunch of great people and familiar faces stopped by throughout the night. There were performances by: Jay Mayne, Kayo, Miracle, Al Boogie, Quake, J-Bru plus more!

Along with the best choice in tunes being played all night we’re also going to be joined by IV League Affiliates Jay Mayne, Quake, Miracle & J-Bru who will be blessing the stage with performances through out the night. With it being IV’s Birthday and all, we’re sure there will be a few other MC’s in the building who might help us set off an on the spot cypher… Don’t miss your chance to step up to the mic!
For the early part of the night we’re also going to feature 2 local hip-hop producers that go by the names of Matty Boh and Ritchcraft. Both of these producers have some serious work behind them, their beats speak for themselves, DO NOT miss out on what these guys have to offer being bumped through the amazing sound system at the Seahorse. Aspiring MC’s, this is a great chance for you to come out and meet some producers who can deliver that heat that your looking for!

Just in case you didn’t know:Scratch is an American hip hop artist. He is a hip hop MC who specializes in beatboxing or vocal percussion. He is probably best known as a member of Grammy Award-winning band The Roots.
Originally a member of Philadelphia based rap group, Schoolz Of Thought, he joined The Roots in 1998.
Scratch released his album The Embodiment of Instrumentation in 2002 on the Rope A Dope record label, which featured The Roots, Dice Raw, E.S.T of Three Times Dope, Cyph Born of Aphillyation, Bilal, Jill Scott, Malik B and M.A.R.S. Co-Op.
After the release of his solo LP he abruptly left The Roots in 2003. He now continues to tour the world. His new upcoming album entitled Loss 4 Wordz features artists Kanye West, Musiq, Gorillaz, and Peedi-Peedi. He also appears on British rapper GoldieLocks’s EP, titled Goldie’s Oldies. Scratch has now released four songs on his myspace but the album, which was promised to be released in August hasn’t been released yet.
Scratch is currently a member of Dino 5 who realized their first album baby loves hip hop Scratch plays Teo, a Pterodactyl.
So after all that… I’m proud to say that myself and IV are going to be opening up for this dude… So expect some golden era type sh!t all night…
