Just in case you didn’t know:Scratch is an American hip hop artist. He is a hip hop MC who specializes in beatboxing or vocal percussion. He is probably best known as a member of Grammy Award-winning band The Roots.
Originally a member of Philadelphia based rap group, Schoolz Of Thought, he joined The Roots in 1998.
Scratch released his album The Embodiment of Instrumentation in 2002 on the Rope A Dope record label, which featured The Roots, Dice Raw, E.S.T of Three Times Dope, Cyph Born of Aphillyation, Bilal, Jill Scott, Malik B and M.A.R.S. Co-Op.
After the release of his solo LP he abruptly left The Roots in 2003. He now continues to tour the world. His new upcoming album entitled Loss 4 Wordz features artists Kanye West, Musiq, Gorillaz, and Peedi-Peedi. He also appears on British rapper GoldieLocks’s EP, titled Goldie’s Oldies. Scratch has now released four songs on his myspace but the album, which was promised to be released in August hasn’t been released yet.
Scratch is currently a member of Dino 5 who realized their first album baby loves hip hop Scratch plays Teo, a Pterodactyl.
So after all that… I’m proud to say that myself and IV are going to be opening up for this dude… So expect some golden era type sh!t all night…

Its that time if year again, and for the fourth year the LIFTED crew is throwing a post Christmas Party.
We’re doing it a bit different this year, brand new venue, totally different style from previous years. We are switching up our musical format to match the new, more lounge like environment.
We have 3 DJ’s on 4 turntables playing the best party tunes from ALL genres of music in a distinctly Hip Hop style. Expect to hear all time classics from all genres. A real mix of everything as long as its “CERTIFIED” good party music. all mixed by the cities best DJ’s with all the skill you come to expect from a great Hip Hop DJ, seamless blends, precise scratching, clever juggling and creative blends and mash-ups.
Speaking of CERTIFIED, this will be the “unofficial” launch of the LIFTED Crew’s new monthly event called, “CERTIFIED”. The format is simple. Just certified good music in a good environment, with great drinks and a fun group of people, basically a certified good time. As far as music goes, we’ll play anything, as long as its certifiably good. No flash-in-the-pan hit of the week that wont stand the test of time. Just GOOD music! Consider this Boxing Day to be a sort of trial run before we officially launch in the new year (Jan. 30) and every last Saturday of the month after that.
We’re proud to have these 3 great DJ’s kick off the night.

Victor’s is going to be a great location for this new event offering an upscale but comfortable atmosphere where you can just as easily lounge in a comfortable chair at a table with friends as you can feel it on the dancefloor in front of the DJ.
