By now you’ve all seen Nike’s amazing FIFA World Cup inspired TV commercial, ‘Write The Future’, now Adidas has brought us their original effort titled ‘Star Wars™ Cantina 2010′. It features the likes of David Beckham, Snoop Dogg, Noel Gallagher, Daft Punk, and soccer legend Franz Beckenbauer.
The commercial is a ‘remake’ of the famous Cantina scene from the 1977 blockbuster and cultural phenomenon we all know and love, Star Wars:

I’m a huge footy fan, so I’m already hyped for this Saturday’s upcoming UEFA Champions League final…and of course the FIFA World Cup which takes place in South Africa from June 11 – July 11th! It will mark the first time the World Cup has been hosted on the continent of Africa.
Well, to help hype you up for the world’s biggest tournament, Nike has produced and released their new soccer/football/futbol ad campaign called ‘Write The Future’. The general concept of the ad is that you can write your future based on what you do OR don’t do on the soccer pitch. It features some pretty cool cameos, but more importantly showcases some of the world’s best soccer players (well at least those who wear Nike cleats/boots!) like Didier Drogba, Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Ronaldinho (who inexplicably, in my mind, was not named to Brazil’s preliminary roster…)

I saw this on Sky Sports News tonight and it literally had me LOL.
Tottenham Hotspur’s manager Harry Redknapp is interviewed after his team 1-0 victory over Manchester City, which assures them a spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League tournament, by locking up 4th place in the Barclay’s Premiership League.
The interview itself is in classic British form with the interviewer trying to goad Redknapp into saying more than he wants to, but what happens in the end is just classic material..enter the ‘Skivvies Celebration’ :)
