Look, I’m pretty sure I don’t even need to go over the recent unfortunate events that shook the poor nation of Haiti this past week. The images are everywhere, and try as you might (why would you?) you can’t bury your head in the proverbial sand on this one. The devastation runs deep, and for me it strikes at the depth of soul. I’m never the guy that tells you what to do with your time or money, but this week i just found myself imploring any who would listen to give give give, time, money, clothes, shoes, CONSIDERATION, whatever but don’t try to sleep on this!!! It has been heartening to see those around me step up, doing and giving what they can. God Bless!
In that vein, the good homie Ronnie Fieg (of David Z and cultureshoq.com) wasted little time in digging out these crack joints (yes i love purple, what?) in the hopes that sneakerheads would come together on a good cause. With 100% (that means all, yes) of the proceeds going to the Yele Haiti Relief fund. This is what i call the win-win, one lucky sneakerhead is going to get a 1-of-1 unreleased pair of Asics all while contributing to the relief efforts underway in Haiti. I like it, a lot. Ronnie always keeps it real, follow him on twitter u’ll see what i mean, good on him for doing this.
